History
Sistemas Urbanos Inc. was founded on June 18, 1997 and has pursued a sole goal: to enhance the outdoor media market of Puerto Rico. In April 28, 1998, our company together with the autonomous municipal government of Ponce engaged contractually where Sistemas Urbanos, Inc. would provide various services related to outdoors advertising. These services were intended not only to advertise but to provide urban furniture such as: bus stops, benches, advertising panels, ornamental clocks, and litter containers. Actually Sistemas Urbanos, Inc. has expanded its presence to seventeen (17) Municipalities around the island.
Our highly qualified executive and technological personnel responsible for the installation, organization, and development of the advertising structure are and will be our best tool of service. Francisco Charles - engineer license # 18722- oversees the technical area, certifies blueprints and coordinates with governmental agencies. Roberto Salas -certified electrician- is responsible for the construction and approval of each connection to the electric system.
Our Technical Department is managed by Flormarie Diaz, who executes the supervision and maintenance of our equipment. Our company is license by the Administration of Regulations and Permits of the Government of Puerto Rico. We are proud to say that we have complied, with all its requirements.
The implementation of the different contracts with all the seventeen (17) Municipalities and its execution is a proven fact that shows the success our company has achieved, having provided an ultra modern, integrated to the city, totally underground and complying with all the specifications and requirements of the local, state, and federal agencies, urban furniture. Not only our firm has expertise in the installation and the marketability of the bus stops, but it also exploits its advertising clocks, advertising stands as well as other urban furniture, necessary in the modern cities such as litter containers and benches, which furnishes the need of the users and residents of each municipality.
Up to this date, Sistemas Urbanos, Inc. has signed contracts with the Municipalities of Arecibo, Arroyo, Bayamón, Caguas, Guayama, Hatillo, Humacao, Juncos, Lajas, Las Piedras, Loiza, Patillas, Ponce, Sabana Grande, San Juan, Yabucoa and Yauco. We are also in the final process to sign other municipal contracts.

Better Designs framed in a Validated Experience.
The experience we have developed in our relationship with the municipalities, compel us to design and perform the best models in harmony with the city esthetics- Our products provides the needs of the residents while in deference to the environment. Safety and durability has led us to a secure design, certificated under federal and national parameters. That’s why our company proposes the execution of a design tested and manufactured under all the governmental and federal requirements by Multiplastics Inc., founded in 1966, with offices and factory in Trujillo Alto.

Urban integration in its production and Installation
The most important thing about the election of a model is not only the service to the citizen, but the adaptation and integration of such model to the city. This is to establish a balance between its utility to the users and its integration to the city -it’s important that the advertising element does not collide with the public-. It’s also important for us the space selection -we respect the city’s traffic flow and avoid any disturbance to it. We respect the laws and regulations in the installation and the use of our urban furniture. All the designs are properly approved and certified by all the federal regulations, including handicapped people requirements. We have certifications of resistance to winds and hurricanes. Our furniture has a tested high quality, durability and resistance against vandalism, complying with all the A.D.A. laws and with other laws and regulations, like local and federal codes related to the installation, design, operation and structural materials.
